The Texas Theater resumes its Tuesday Night Trash series with a free screening of the martial arts extravaganza The Dragon Lives Again (aka Deadly Hands of Kung Fu, 1977), 9:15pm, July 24, at the theater. Details

The Magnolia’s The Big Movie films series kicks off its two-part Disaster! series with a screening of the all-star epic The Poseidon Adventure (1974), 7:30 and 10pm, July 24, at the theater. Details

Cinemark Theaters and Paramount Studios conclude their Reel Classics summer film series with a screening of Bob Fosse’s musical movie adaptation of Cabaret (1972), 2 and 7pm, July 25, at select Cinemark theaters. Details

The Dallas Museum of Art continues its Dallas on Film! series with a screening of Juke Joint (1947), a vintage “race film” from the Tyler, Texas Black Film Collection, at 7pm, July 26, in the museum’s Horchow Auditorium. SMU film professor Rick Worland will introduce the film and discuss the Collection. Details

The Inwood Theatre’s Midnight Madness features for this week are Tommy Wiseau’s cult-classic Z-grade drama The Room (2003) on July 27, and the classic rock musical The Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975) on July 28, at the theater. Details
