The Texas Theater celebrates 50 years of Bond-age with screenings of 007’s film debut, Dr. No (1962), various showtimes, September 23, at the theater. Details

The Magnolia concludes its Challenging Autuer film miniseries with a screening of Jean-Charles Tacchella’s romantic comedy Cousin Cousine (1975), 7:30 and 10pm, September 25, at the theater. Details

Cinemark Theaters and Paramount Studios conclude the Autumn portion of their Reel Classics series with John Huston’s film adaptation of C.S. Forester’s romantic novel The African Queen (1951), 2 and 7pm, September 27, at select Cinemark theaters. Details

The Texas Theater presents a double-screening of Terry Gilliam’s time-travel adventure film 12 Monkeys (1995) along with the avant garde Chris Marker short that inspired it, “La Jetee”, various showtimes, September 27-30, at the theater. Details

The Inwood Theatre’s Midnight Madness features for this week are Tommy Wiseau’s cult-classic Z-grade drama The Room (2003) on Friday, September 28; and the classic rock musical The Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975) on Saturday, September 29, at the theater. Details
