Asian Film Festival of Dallas Deadline Nears

AFFD call for entriesThe final deadline for submissions to the 2012 Asian Film Festival of Dallas is March 31, 2012 (postmarked). The festival is open to domestic and international filmmakers, and entry fees are $40 for feature films and $25 for short films.

The AFFD’s mission statement is “to celebrate and support emerging and established Asian and Asian-American filmmakers by sharing the rich diversity of Asian culture through the medium of cinema.” It has featured works by such artists as Takeshi Kitano, Takashi Miike, Yoshihiro Nakamura, Christine Yoo, Fabien Gaillard, Freddie Wong, Derek Yee, and Dante Lam.

The festival will be held July 12-19, 2012 at the Magnolia Theater. Submissions may be processed and details obtained at the AFFD’s Withoutabox festival page.
