This Week’s Repertory Screenings:

The Texas Theatre’s Kimono Club series — featuring the best in Japanese cinema, bad karaoke, Kirin and sake bombs — continues unabated with the grindhouse action-crime drama classic Sex and Fury (1973), 9pm, March 11, at the theater. Details
 

The Magnolia’s The Big Movie classic films series continues its Great Directors showcase with a screening of Orson Welles’ legendary masterwork Citizen Kane (1941), 7 and 9:30pm, March 13, at the theater. Details

 

The Texas Theatre will also screen David Lynch’s singular, surreal romance-thriller Wild at Heart (1990) starring Nicolas Cage and Laura Dern, 7:15pm, March 14, at the theater. Details

 

The Inwood Theatre’s Midnight Madness feature for this Friday and Saturday night will be the time-travelling ’80s epic Back to the Future (1985), (the movie that made Michael J. Fox and Huey Lewis & The News briefly popular), midnight, March 16 and 17, at the theater. Details
